Crisis Management by Dhyan Foundation's Timely Responses
By rehabilitating and transporting cattle rescued by BSF from traffickers on the Indo-Bangladesh border, starting in November 2018, we have directly saved 80,000 such lives, and lakhs more indirectly, by stopping the chain.
According to DIG Guleria, BSF - "Dhyan Foundation is the only organization standing shoulder to shoulder with BSF at the Indo Bangladesh border and helping us stop the illegal trafficking and smuggling of animals."
We routinely receive desperate request letters from various BSF battalions highlighting the poor conditions of animals at border outposts and urging us to take them in our care.
While the number of animals being smuggled across border areas has dropped sporadically with combined efforts of BSF and DF, the numbers at our shelters are increasing daily.
